Give directly to candidates who've earned it
Below are the candidates The Middle currently supports. Every "Donate" link goes to the
candidate's official campaign — money never passes through this site.
We choose based on the public record: a demonstrated cross-partisan streak, a competitive
race where support actually matters, and a small-dollar path that reduces dependence on
the ideological donor base.
No active endorsements right now — candidates are added as races develop, based on
the selection criteria above. Editors can nominate; endorsements are approved by the
owner. Check back, or subscribe to the feed.
Beyond money
- Vote in primaries. Safe-seat primaries are where the extremes win; a moderate primary vote is worth several general-election votes.
- Back structural reform. Open primaries and ranked-choice measures change the incentives permanently — see our success stories.
- Suggest a story or a candidate. Our editors review every idea sent to content@themiddle.net.
The fine print
The Middle is independent commentary. It is not a PAC or political committee, does not
collect or forward contributions, does not coordinate with any campaign, and receives
nothing for these links. Contributions go directly to official campaign committees and
are subject to federal and state contribution limits and disclosure rules — see
fec.gov. An endorsement reflects the
public record at the time it was made and can be withdrawn the same way it was earned.
